Dr. Shuan Dai is the Associate Professor and Director of Ophthalmology, Children’s Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. He is the current president of the Royal Australia & New Zealand Strabismus Society.
He is specialized in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus and is well known for his expertise in Pediatric neurophthalmology, complex strabismus and ROP telemedicine.
Shuan is actively involved in government health policy development in the area of pediatric eye care among various health professionals, such as the development of “Before School Vision Screening Program”, “New Zealand, and Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists’ guidelines on Pediatric Vision Referral Pathway” and “National Guideline in ROP Screening & Treatment”
He is very active in clinical education and research. He has supervised more than twenty fellows, 4 PhD students and MD students. He has published more than 60 peer reviewed journal articles.
He is the section editor for pediatric ophthalmology & strabismus for the journal of Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology. He has been regularly invited to speak at international ophthalmological societies’ congress as invited, or keynote speakers.
